Recipe Brief Description : Crab Sukka recipe: Its a Mangalore Style of preparing Crab using whole spices and coconut. Its a dry dish hence very well goes as a starter or a side dish with rice and curry.
Crab - 250 grams
Onion - 2 nos. (slice chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
Garlic cloves - 4 nos. (crushed)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp
Jeera powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Fish masala powder - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves few
Green chilli - 2 nos. (slice chopped)
Grated Coconut for garnishing.
Oil as required.
Salt to taste
Lime juice - 2 tsp (optional)
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Clean the crab neatly and cut the crab if it is large in size. Drain and keep it aside.
Heat a pan add oil - 5-6 tsp, onion, ginger-garlic paste, garlic cloves, turmeric powder, fry well and add crab pieces with salt to taste & fry.
Add dhaniya powder, jeera powder, chilli powder and fish masala powder fry well for few minutes; then add glass of water and close the lid; cook for 10 minutes.
Now finally garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves mix it well.
Spicy, Mouthwatering Crab Sukka is ready to eat. Serve hot.
